valentine's day happened!!!

Hi there!  Valentine's Day happened!!  It's a fun little holiday, isn't it??  Kyle and I started celebrating a bit early because we both had to work on Thursday.  Tuesday after his meeting he came home to pick me up and surprised me with wonderful Mickey and Minnie Mouse treats.  I've not yet shared this, but I'm a bit of a Mickey and Minnie nerd.

We had some errands to run, but the he was taking me out for dinner.  We couldn't agree on a type of food.  I either wanted Mexican or Chinese food.  Kyle wanted to eat somewhere that served dinner rolls.  How cute is that?  We finally agreed to eat at Golden Corral because there was plenty of variety.  On our way out the door, after eating entirely too much, we discovered that they had COTTON CANDY!!!  Like anyone should have, we took a couple for the road.

We then went back home and built shelves we had purchased before dinner and watched movies together until we needed to sleep.   Wednesday Kyle brought me home a dozen roses, and I surprised him with some Star Wars themed gifts, homemade rice crispy treats(his favorite), and a bottle of his favorite whiskey.  I also made pasta salad, garlic bread, and spaghetti for dinner.  I know, carb overload, but it tasted wonderful!!

Thursday night Kyle brought home a heart shaped pizza from Papa John's.  It was my idea, but for future reference, I don't recommend them.  They aren't very good.  Thin crust, one topping pizzas just aren't our thing though.

It was a wonderful valentine's week!!  I hope you enjoyed yours as much as I enjoyed mine.  How was your Valentine's??  Anything big happen??

hello world! (or maybe just the 2 people who happen to stumble upon my new blog!  you're appreciated.)

you may have read my little about me, but i'm going to elaborate a bit anyway.  i'm jennifer.  there are some special people in my life who call me jen jen.  :)  i'm 25, engaged to my wonderful kyle, and live in indiana.  i really like vintage cameras and taking pictures, although i find myself doing it a lot less than i used to.  i also like crafting quite a bit but seem to have lost the time to do that as well.  this blog is, for now at least, a motivation.  my goal is to start doing the things i love again (like taking pictures, crafting, wearing dresses, thrifting, and more) and then share them with the interweb people.

i am also getting married this fall so i plan on sharing some of the planning process and perhaps some tips as i learn them myself.
